Seriously, an entire blog and podcast devoted to theme parks and thrill rides?  Come on!  How big of an audience is there for that type of thing?

Well, if you're reading this, it must mean that you love theme parks as much as we do.  If you're like us, you love the feeling of getting up in the morning, putting on your favorite T-Shirt and heading out to your favorite park.

It's the smell of hot pavement and hearing the distant screams of people on a roller coaster as you approach the main gate.  It's the thrill you feel as you climb on board a new ride for the first time and how the troubles of your daily life seem to vanish for the few minutes you are spinning, falling or accelerating.

We think that there are a lot of people out there who feel the same way.  So, why not have a multimedia site all about our favorite hobby?

In 2005, CoasterRadio.com launched as the first theme park related podcast on the internet.

Our first two seasons were a lot of fun and full of highlights:
  • We produced 80 shows in our first two years

  • We produced shows at Walt Disney World, Busch Gardens Europe, Holiday World, Six Flags Over Georgia, Paramount's Kings Dominion, Kennywood, Six Flags Great Adventure, Knoebels and Dorney Park.

  • We were the only unofficial podcast to be invited to the Grand Opening of Expedition Everest at Disney's Animal Kingdom.

  • We interviewed Disney Imagineers Joe Rohde and Eric Jacobson

  • We interviewed Holiday World's Will Koch and several of the designers from The Gravity Group.

  • We were featured on Adam Curry and iTunes' "Podfinder podcast."

  • We were featured in an article in the Amusement Industry Magazine Funworld.

    PittFallAfter taking a year off, the site returned in February of 2008 as an interactive website about theme parks and thrill rides.  

    The CoasterRadio.com Blog is your portal to interesting discussion and debate about a variety of topics.
